Hag's Head is delighted to announce that we are working with esteemed Welsh publisher Seren on a UK edition of Call Mother a Lonely Field for next year. The Ukranian edition is now available from ECEM Media. Author Liam Carson will appear on BBC TV Northern Ireland's Irish-language show Imeall Geal at the end of November. You can also catch him at the Peregrine Readings: in Dublin on Tuesday November 15th at the Irish Writers' Centre (7:30 pm); in Cork on Wednesday November 16th at the Anam Cara Writers' Retreat; or in Portumna, Co. Galway, on Thursday November 17th at the Shannon Oaks Hotel.

5 March 2011 Congratulations to three Hag's Head authors this weekend, with Declan Burke and Liam Carson appearing at the Dublin Book Festival (www.dublinbookfestival.com), and Ailbhe Keogan reading at Solas Nua's DC Irish Writers festival (www.solasnua.org) in Washington, D.C. Ailbhe's Molly & the Cyclops was released in 2005 to critical acclaim and she has since gone on to work on writing screenplays, one of which is currently in production. Declan's The Big O quickly sold out its Irish edition in 2007 and is now available in hardback from Harcourt Books in the US; an Italian edition is forthcoming. Liam's literary memoir Call Mother a Lonely Field has received rave reviews and there is a documentary based on the book in the early stages of consideration.
